How it works Transfer in 5 Steps

Unlock the domain at your current registrar (turn off "registrar lock" or "transfer lock").
Get the authorisation code, also called the EPP or transfer code, from your current registrar.
Order the transfer at DragoHost: start a transfer, enter your domain and the code, and complete payment.
Approve the transfer if your current registrar or the domain's contact email asks you to confirm it.
Wait for completion. Most .com and .net transfers finish within about 5 to 7 days. Your domain appears in your DragoHost client area when it is done.

Checklist Before You Transfer

Most registries do not allow a transfer within 60 days of registering the domain or of a previous transfer.
If the domain has expired, renew it with your current registrar first.
Make sure you can receive email at the domain's contact address, in case you need to approve the transfer.
Keep your current nameservers if you want your website and email to keep working during the transfer.
